Two-factor authentication and backup codes

With two-factor authentication, signing in requires your password and a six-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy. Someone who knows only your password cannot sign in.

Enable it

1. Open Settings › , My profile and click Enable under Two-factor authentication.
2. Vystav displays a secret key. Add a new account in your authenticator app and enter the key.
3. The app starts showing six-digit codes. Enter the current code in Code from app and click Confirm.
4. Vystav displays backup codes. Store them somewhere other than your phone, such as on paper or in a password manager, and click I have saved them. They will not be shown again.

Signing in with a code

After you enter your email and password, Vystav asks for a Verification code. Enter six digits from the app or one of your backup codes in the xxxx-xxxx format.

Backup codes

• Each backup code works only once and replaces the app code when you do not have your phone.
• You can see how many codes remain in Settings › , My profile.
• After entering your password, use Create new codes to generate new ones. This invalidates the old codes.

Disabling it

Disable two-factor authentication in Settings › , My profile by entering your password and clicking Disable. While it is enabled, deleting your account also requires a code from the app or a backup code.

Settings › , My profile also shows the devices on which you are signed in. If you do not recognise one, change your password.
